Old Leamingtonians Under-13s were crowned Tigers Challenge champions after a successful festival hosted by Butlins in Minehead.

Old Leamingtonians dominated the group stages, racking up five wins and an impressive +55 points difference and were presented with the trophy by former England and Leicester Tigers star George Chuter.

With over 250 boys and girls teams participating every year, the Tigers Challenge is the UK’s biggest youth rugby festival.

Chuter said: “To be crowned ESF champions is a fantastic achievement.

“The team should be really proud of themselves.”

The victory was welcomed by Colyn Withers, coach of OLs, who added: “We’ve had a fantastic time away on tour at the ESF Tigers Challenge at Butlins.

“It’s been a great experience for us all and one which I’m sure the lads will remember for years to come.

“We had a great time across the whole weekend and put in some tremendous performances on the pitch.

“For the team to meet George Chuter topped off a fantastic weekend. The boys are all set to build on their success at the Tigers Challenge!”
