It's time to nominate your heroes for the 2008 Warwick District Sports Awards.
After the success of last year's inaugural event we are once again preparing to celebrate our local sporting success - international champions and long-serving junior coaches alike.

All the winners will be revealed during a presentation dinner at Leamington Town Hall on Friday June 20.

With your help we will compile a list of nominations in categories ranging from team of the year to club volunteer or unsung hero of the year.

An expert panel will consider the nominations and draw up a shortlist from which winners will be chosen to receive their awards at the Town Hall.

Once again players, coaches and helpers of all ages are eligible for awards. All sports - from football and cricket to netball and table tennis - will be considered.

We want your nominations, be they experienced international champions, determined youngsters achieving their first success locally or tireless volunteers who have worked behind the scenes for years.

With your help we are looking for winners in the following categories:

Club volunteer or unsung hero of the year

Player of the year (senior male)

Player of the year (senior female)

Player of the year (junior male)

Player of the year (junior female)

Team of the year

Coach/manager of the year

Disabled sportsperson of the year

And who will be crowned sports personality of the year?

Tell us who you would like to nominate and why.
