Village news for Kilsby (July 10)
WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
At the June meeting members enjoyed watching Victorian slides on a magic lantern presented by Dr Lowis. Reports were given on craft evenings involving scrapbooking and beadwork, both of which proved very popular.
Names and deposits for the mystery trip on August 13 were taken. A few places are still available for this trip which is open to non-members. Full details are available from M Hunt, 01788 823133.
Final details for Kilsby's entry in the county show were discussed and arrangements made for a visit to Rugby Theatre.
SUMMER
SPECTACULARThis is the title for a flower festival in St Faith's Church and a fundraising event which includes stalls, cream teas, a barbeque and children's entertainment.
