There will be a fundraising coffee morning on Tuesday from 10.30am-noon at 28 Hall Close.

WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
In January members discussed proposed resolutions for 2009.
They concerned an SOS for honey bees, urgent action on flooding, residential care fees for the elderly, reinstatement of in-house hospital cleaning services and the effect of GP-led practices on doctors and customers in rural areas.
The January speaker, Mr Hill, gave a splendid talk and demonstration on woodturning which was very much enjoyed. The first event to raise funds for the county challenge competition, a pies and poems evening, proved to be great fun and made about £49.
Further events in the pipeline include a Lively Lunch, a Crafty Coffee Morning and a Picnic Party.
