Better weather at times saw lots of painted ladies butterflies – a night butterfly from the continent – and
small copper – a resident butterfly.
Cross-bill birds were heard passing over the parish. July is usually a quiet month for birds, August and September tend to produce more unusual records, so keep looking.

OUTING
The Darby and Joan outing to West Midlands Safari Park on Tuesday will leave the Market Square at 9.30am.
Cost of coach is £10. If you have not already paid your admission fee, this can be paid on the day (£6) together with the coach fare.
