Village news for Long Buckby (May 28)
RUGBY CLUB DINNER DANCE
The next supper dance will be tomorrow (Friday), 7.45 for 8pm at the Rugby Club, with music provided by Robert Peel. Tickets cost £5, including supper, from Bill Mawby on 01327 842551.

DOG TRAINING COURSE
A few places remain on a new five-week puppy/beginners training course that starts in the village on Wednesday at 6.30pm. Small, friendly class, using kind reward-based methods. Further details from DCL Dog Training, Deborah Coles, on 01327 843743 or 07827 794552.

GYM FAMILY DAY
There will be a family day at Buckby Health and Leisure on Saturday, June 6, when 36 members of the gym will set out on a sponsored bike ride to raise money for Help for Heroes – a charity which helps servicemen and women hurt while serving the country in current conflicts.

Three bikes will be ridden non stop from 10am-4pm, some by members who remember the war themselves.

There will be other fun and games on the day and the chance to try some of the gym facilities free.
