PUMPKIN SHOWAdvance notice that the Pumpkin Show is to be revived at the Old King's Head on the first Sunday in October this year. There will be more details nearer the time, meanwhile, pumpkin plants can be bought for £2 each, proceeds to charity, from either the pub or phone 01327 843099.
ST LAWRENCE'S CHURCH FETEWill be on Saturday, July 4, noon-2pm, in the churchyard. More details nearer the time.
LONG BUCKBY SCHOOLS FAIRThe schools' summer fair will be on Saturday, June 20, noon-2 pm at the junior school.
This will be a free fun day for all the family. Raffle tickets are already on sale at the newsagents and schools, and prizes include trips out, meals, and a TV/DVD combi. Refreshment stalls will include tea/coffee, barbecue, Pimms, cakes, candyfloss, ice creams and tuck shop. Attractions for all, including a Shakespeare-themed treasure hunt, inflatables, pony rides, penalty shoot-out, go-karts and fire engine. Also there will be dance performances, and all the usual pocket money-priced games and stalls. For more information, or to offer help or prizes, contact Sam Morran via the junior school on 842445.

AT URCThe Northampton Male Voice Choir will be giving a concert at the United Reformed Church, Brington Road, on Saturday, June 20 at 7.30pm, entitled Songs for a Summer Evening.
