Village news for Preston Capes (March 26)
CHURCH SERVICES
Sunday, 11am, united benefice family service with Bishop Frank, Badby Church.
There will be no service at Preston Capes.
VILLAGE FETE – CHANGE OF DATE
Unfortunately, since writing last week's colu
mn, it has been necessary to postpone our summer fete by one week.
The event will now take place on Sunday, July 19. The fete volunteers meeting will still take place on Tuesday, April 7 – please come along and offer your support to the fete committee.
CHURCHYARD MOWING
A meeting will take place in the church on Thursday, April 2 at 7pm for existing and new volunteers, when this year's mowing rota will be finalised.
If you can spare a couple of hours during the growing season to keep our churchyard neat and tidy, then please come along. As always, many hands make light work!
WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
Preston Capes WI's next meeting will be held in the village hall on Thursday, April 2 and will have a Scottish flavour when Chris Rowe will be giving a talk and slide presentation on Glens and Gardens, Castles and Kings.
The evening starts at 7.30pm and potential members and guests are very welcome to attend.
Thanks to everyone who supported the coffee morning last Saturday when more than £100 was raised!
