Village news for Preston Capes (April 23)
CHURCH SERVICES
Sunday, 10am, united benefice service of holy communion and baptism at Preston Capes church conducted by the Rev Cooper.
VILLAGE HALL 100 CLUB
The winners of the April draw were: first, Mike Eves,
second, Chris Lumbis, third, Pauline Davies.
MOBILE LIBRARY
The mobile library will be visiting the parish on Tuesday – 1.55pm at Little Preston and 2.30pm at Preston Capes (Church Way).
STRICTLY PRESTON CAPES
As a change from the barn dances of the last few years, the village hall committee is offering you the chance to learn a different type of dance – ballroom! Come to the village hall on Saturday, May 23 where two tutors will teach you the basics so you can dance the night away. More details soon.
WOMEN'S INSTITUTE HOMES AND GARDENS
Preston Capes WI invites you to join it at its June and July meetings. On Thursday, June 4 there will be an evening visit to Bridge Nursery, Napton. On Thursday, July 2 there will be a talk – How to be a House Detective – by Northampton Blue Badge Guide Brian Giggins
If you are interested in either/both of the above, please look out for the flyer giving full details which will be sent out early next month.
VILLAGE FETE
