Village news for Preston Capes (June 11)
CHURCH SERVICES
Sunday, 10am, united benefice service of holy communion at Badby (no service at Preston Capes).
PARISH COUNCIL
This month's meeting takes place on Tuesday at 7.45pm in the village hall.
OPEN GARDENS
After a morning of unrelenting rain, we were delighted that the skies finally cleared and that just over 200 visitors came to look at our village gardens. Thanks to them, we have raised a substantial sum for the National Gardens Scheme charities. Sales of refreshments and plants also raised much-needed funds for our church restoration. The garden owners are also grateful to those villagers who helped with the lunches and clearing.
