Village news for Preston Capes (June 25)
CHURCH SERVICES
Sunday, 10am, united benefice service of holy communion at Preston Capes.
HOW OLD IS YOUR HOUSE?
If you would like help finding out, then come along to Preston Capes WI's open meeting on Thursday,
July 2, at the village hall when Brian Giggins will be giving a talk on "How to be a house detective".
The meeting starts at 7.30pm and admission is £2 on the door (no need to book) which includes tea/coffee and cake.
VILLAGE FETE
On Sunday, July 19. Just over three weeks to go to our most important fund-raising event of the year, and - as always - the success of our fete relies heavily on YOUR help.

Donations of books, cakes, good quality bric-a-brac, home and garden produce, plants, wine, plus prizes for the raffle and tombola, would be greatly appreciated – a flyer giving full details is being sent to all households around the end of the month.

Can you help with refreshments, setting up or clearing away, or perhaps just giving our hard-working stallholders a short break for a much-needed cuppa? If so, please contact Pauline Davies on 01327 361309 or Mike Eves on 01327 361656.

Please help to make this another record-breaking year, and raise vital funds for our church and village hall.
In next week's column, find out all about the exciting attractions we have this year.
