Village news for Staverton (October 23)
SCHOOL NEWS
Last week Class Two went to Ryton Organic Gardens for the day as part of their research on food.
There are a lot of after-school clubs at our school like Imagineering where some people come in from Cummins and teach us a lot about engineering.
So far we have made a glider and a compass and we watched a demonstration on how a soldering iron can burn you if you are not careful. We used a sausage to represent a finger and when the soldering iron touched it, it turned black! The club is really fun.
In the last round of inter-house football matches Emerald House faced Amber House and Amber won 5-2. Jack Bond scored four and Jacob Seeney scored one for Amber. Kian Daniels replied with both goals for Emerald. Amber House are top of the league table so far.
