Village news for Staverton (December 18)
SCHOOL NEWS
The Christmas bazaar, organised by the Friends of Staverton School, took place last Friday.
The raffle alone made more than £700.
Thank you to everyone who helped to organise and supported this event.
The Reception children and Years One and Two performed their Christmas play, Angel Academy, on three occasions last week, ably supported by singers from Class Four.
The first was a special performance for older people in our village. Then there were afternoon and evening performances for parents.
Finally, Class Three spent a Victorian Christmas Day at Abington Museum learning about food and how Victorians celebrated.
All the children and staff went in full costume and everyone enjoyed the trip.
