Village news for Staverton (March 12)
SCHOOL NEWS
During World Book Day on Thursday last week all the children dressed up in t-shirts they had designed to represent their favourite book or story character.
The best designs in each year won a book voucher. The winners were Charlotte Tate-Dawson, Ben Kaye, Ben Holmes, Zoe Green, Ben Angles, Holly Kaye and Emma Bond.
The Year One and Two children spent Friday on an
orienteering course at Overstone and the children successfully completed two challenges.
Even their teacher Mrs Evans didn't manage to lose her way!
Science Club for older
children began with a
mini-raft building competition using paper to build boats to hold the greatest weight. Congratulations to Owen Nelson, Jake Holmes and Katie Gregory who won.
