Village news for Staverton (April 2)
SCHOOL NEWS
The Year Five and Six children went on a tour of the Cummins factory in Daventry as part of their after-school Imagineering engineering course. Many thanks to the staff for showing them around.
The Reception children spent a day at the National Sealife Centre in Birmingham as part of their work on living things. They really enjoyed the trip and the big fish.
ST MARY'S CHURCH
We are planning Staverton Past and Present on May 24 and 25 with displays of photos, paintings and reminiscences of Staverton.
On May 24 at 6pm there will be a Songs of Praise (choose your favourite hymn!), and on May 25 the church will be open to see the displays, and there will be cream teas in the church from 2-5pm.
If you have any pictures, photos, paintings or other memorabilia of Staverton you would be prepared to lend please contact the Rev Liz at The Vicarage on 702 466.
