Wellesbourne people tried their hands at changing the tyres of a Formula One car on May 31.
George and Deborah Francis of GWS Motors in Warwick Road marked the opening of the garage's new Spar store by holding the Ferrari pit stop challenge in aid of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.

The garage raised more than £200 for the charity and Mr Francis thanked all those who had taken part, including the couple's four sons, who acted as pit crew.

He said: "They all worked their socks off on the day to make it a great success."

Our picture shows Wellesbourne Spar owners George and Deborah Francis with their sons Nick, John, Jamie and Will.
