Wellesbourne is to get a new 'number ten' bus service which will run in a circuit around the village.
The parish council initiative, operated by Stewarts Coaches, will begin on Friday (December 14).

The 16-seat vehicle with space for two wheelchairs will initially be available every Friday thereafter, but could become a daily service if demand is proved. A day ticket will cost £1.

Council chairman John Grantham said: “We hope our new shuttle bus will encourage people to stay within the village to do their shopping and use local business and community facilities. Like the large oak from the little acorn, we hope that a thriving daily transport service for the whole community will grow from this small start.”
