WELLESBOURNE residents are frustrated about an increase in vandalism and litter in the village.
Complaints of horse droppings on foot ways have also been made.
Council chairman, Rosalind Bolton, said the council asked police to accept reports of vandalism via Neighbourhood Watch coordinators but has made no progress.
She said: "We would urge residents to report vandalism direct to the police, even if it takes time, as it is important that they are made aware of incidents.
Wellesbourne Neighbourhood Watch chairman, Frankie Spray, said: "You must report the incident yourself. Your vulnerability and circumstances will be assessed by the police."
Report incidents to Sgt Fretwell on 01789 414670 or 01789 414111. Neighbourhood Watch can be contacted on 01789 841819 or via email at frankiespray@aol.com
