Warwick Arts Centre will play host to some of comedy's biggest names this season.
Paul Merton, Jenny Eclair and Lenny Henry will all be raising laughs at the centre over the summer, along with up and coming comedians Simon Amstell and Tim Vine, who are appearing there for the first time.

Following a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival, the National Theatre of Scotland's Black Watch will be making its English debut at the end of April.

Based on interviews conducted with former soldiers who served in Iraq, the play reveals what it means to be part of the war on terror.

Centre director Alan Rivett said: "We want to present exciting theatre of the highest quality, so we are delighted to welcome the enormously successful Black Watch. For these performances our Butterworth Hall will be totally transformed to create a special and moving theatrical experience."

The programme continues with productions such as To Be Straight With You, an exploration of intolerance, religion and sexuality and finishes with a performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Music lovers are well catered for with performances from artists such as Jools Holland and The Yardbirds, while children' s shows Brilliant and Cinderella Ashputtel will appeal to younger audience members and families.

The new season is a significant one as it will be the last before the centre's concert hall closes for redevelopment.

This will include improvements to the acoustics and seating areas.
