Ride a Cock Horse Folk Club will welcome home the Carter Chapman Band on Wednesday.
After travelling around Italy, Holland and the USA, Warwick girl Carter Chapman has returned to her birthplace.

Club organiser Derek Droscher said: "Carter sang a floor spot at our club some time ago and we were amazed how well she could sing.

"We heard she had formed a band and heard some raving reviews of how fantastic the whole band is performing at other folk clubs in the area, so we are excited that they are coming to us on this occasion."

As a youngster Carter Chapman was a ballet dancer, before becoming lead vocalist in folk band Acoustic Sausage. She now plays piano and guitar as well as drums, which she started learning to play when she was eight. She has been a drummer in metal band Rhino Skunk.

Carter is currently recording her new album Star Sign, due for release at the end of the year.

Ride a Cock Horse Folk Club meets every Wednesday at 8.30pm in The Millers Bar, at the Mill Arts Centre, Banbury.
