Chance to create art from junk

Hippos and giraffes are among the sculptures made from recycled materials at an art workshop in Stretton-Under-Fosse this summer.
Industry off-cuts and wasted materials are used by artists at JunkArt to make creative products from items that society rejected.
Artist Shiam Wilcox said: "It is a great idea to make sculpture out of waste. I think it's really funny that the things people throw away can be created into sculptures and put back into their homes."
JunkArt holds sessions at Unit 5, The Wharf for people of all ages to learn more about art and drama. They recently came third in the MAD UK art competition with their entry Out and About with Colonel Badshot.
Shiam added: "Children have moved away from the Blue Peter idea of making things and it is important to encourage them to be creative. Art Jamming sessions are good because you never know what you will come out with at the end.."
