Much has been speculated about the life and death of media mogul Robert Maxwell, but in this humorous play by Rod Beacham Maxwell gets to tell his side of the story.

On November 5, 1991, Maxwell disappeared from his luxury yacht in the Canary Islands. His naked body was found floating in the ocean 15 miles away. It was later confirmed that he had misappropriated hundreds of millions of pounds from his companies’ pension funds to finance his corporate debt, frantic takeovers and lavish lifestyle. Was it suicide? Was it murder? Did he actually die at all?

In this show York attempts captures Maxwell’s personality to reveal the man behind the monster.
