UK country superstars The Shires will kick start the summer programme when they perform songs from their new album on Thursday, April 25. A jam-packed 2016 featured a headline performance at Glastonbury for the band, and last September they released My Universe, which became the fastest-selling UK country album of all time.

In May, expect party fuelled beats, hooks and grooves as New Orleans’ Grammy-nominated Hot 8 Brass Band pull out a night full of raucous funk.

Heading to the Butterworth Hall on Wednesday, May 5, with their fifth album, On The Spot, the band will bring their unique style of old school street brass with swaggering jazz and hip hop vocals to the stage with fresh versions of tracks by Snoop Dogg, Stevie Wonder, The Specials and Basement Jaxx.

KT Tunstall will present her new album, KIN, live on Saturday, May 27.
