Traditional recipes made from scratch are the secret to success according to the owners of a new Indian takeaway in Whitnash.
Vujon Classic Spice at 1 The Shopping Centre, St Margaret's Road, opened its doors four weeks ago and has enjoyed good business ever since.

Owner Sudhir Kumar, 58, explained that 'Vujon' simply means food in Bengali.

He was enthusiastic about the feedback the takeaway has received.
He said: "Every customer I have served during the day has said how good the food is.

"They have said that it is easy to tell that it is not from a tin or from the supermarket."

Co-owner and head chef, Juliab Hussain, 55, began cooking in 1967 and has honed his culinary skills during 40 years in the business.

He said: "I can cook a dish for a customer just the way they like it."
Mr Hussain has already begun expanding Vujon's menu, with one dish called Duck Halleam using special spices and another named Chicken Empire from a family recipe.

He added: "Nobody in Warwickshire can beat me for quality or quantity of food. One customer likes one of my dishes so much he has been back to order it nine times."
