About 28 per cent of all Covid deaths in Warwick happened in January, while Kenilworth's figure was much lower - 12.5 per cent.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has complied the data, covering January 2021 and all the way to the start of the pandemic last year.

They state that the deaths they have recorded are where COVID-19 was the underlying cause of death.

This means, of course, that many thousands of people recovered from the virus. Many had little or no symptoms - but unfortunately there are no figures for these specific categories.

Another positive note is that many thousands of people have now been vaccinated, or are waiting for their second vaccination, as cases fall across the district and country.
