Theatre groups play up for one-act drama festival

Six drama groups are coming together to celebrate their enthusiasm for live theatre at Harbury Village Hall next week.

Warwickshire Amateur Community Theatre is stag the 2016 ACT One Act Play Festival on Friday June 24 at 7.30pm and on Saturday June 25 at 4.30pm and 7.30pm. There is a different selection of plays each show.

Groups come from all over south Warwickshire, covering Barford, Cubbington, Harbury, Lighthorne, Southam, Shipston and Stratford-upon-Avon.

The line-up for the Friday features Caramba Theatre Company and Harbury Theatre Group. The Saturday will feature The Grange Players, Shipston Drama Group, Lighthorne Drama Group and the Cubbington Players.

Warwickshire Amateur community Theatre (Warwickshire ACT) is a small group of amateur drama groups in south Warwickshire.

It organises training and social events for its members and hold festivals every two years. Membership is open to all non-professional drama and theatre groups

Tickets cost £4 a show or £7 for all shows in the festival.
