Boys sing their way to success in France

Warwickshire County Boys Choir have completed a tour of Normandy and the Loire Valley - receiving standing ovations at all five venues.

Directed by Garry Jones and supported by pianist Julian Grimshaw, the group of 26 boys performed over four days beginning in Honfleur, continuing to Warwick’s twinned town of Saumur, and Angers.

Garry, choir director said “The boys had a fantastic time singing in some beautiful venues and enjoying the sights.”

The popular choir launched in 2008 and now has over 80 members who practice each week in Warwick. They have sung at a range of venues across Europe including the Minack Theatre, Cornwall, London’s Festival Hall, and Symphony Hall Birmingham - as well as supporting renowned singer, Russell Watson at Warwick Arts Centre.

The group has been named Choir of the Day in every UK Choir of the Year competition since 2010.
