A newly-renovated railway goods wagon will open to the public today (Sunday) at Foundry Wood in Leamington from 2pm to 6pm.
It has been restored by The Friends of Foundry Wood and community organisation ARC CIC, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
There will be activities for children and tea and cake all afternoon.
Kath Pasteur, project manager at ARC CIC, said: “Over the past few months we’ve had a great team of volunteers researching the history of the local foundries and the railways adjacent to the woodland.
We’ve also had volunteers from The Salvation Army Way Ahead Project, local businesses and residents renovating the railway wagon.”
