A suspected drug dealer flipped a stolen car and landed the vehicle on it his side during a police chase in Warwick.

The driver was arrested and charged with a number of offences including possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs, dangerous driving, driving otherwise in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance.

The Ford Focus also had cloned plates and had been reported stolen from Coventry earlier in the month.

The pursuit happened on Wednesday night and a spokesperson for Warwickshire Police said: "The driver’s skills were left wanting and as a result the car end up on its side."

Update from police: Following this arrest, a 26-year-old man from Warwick has been charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply, possession of amphetamines with intent to supply, driving without a licence, driving without insurance and dangerous driving. He is appearing at Coventry Magistrates' Court today (Friday).
