A Leamington driver who crashed his car near Kenilworth was twice over the drink drive limit, say police.

The Operational Patrol Unit (OPU) were called to the crash last night (Sunday) in Dalehouse Lane and said the driver was not injured.

But the driver provided a positive breath test at twice the limit.

No other vehicles were involved.

A 22-year-old man from Leamington has been charged with drink driving and will appear at Coventry Magistrates on May 25.
