A driver fled his car when police approached him in Leamington - and officers were surprised by what they found inside.

Operational Policing Unit officers saw the driver of an Audi in Leamington acting suspicious on Wednesday, so they approached the vehicle.

When they got close, he ran off leaving his car unlocked.

Police said they found a large knife and a large amount of cash inside.

The items have been recovered by the police.
