The three men didn't live together and the police said the journey was 'most definitely not essential'

Three men have been given Covid fines for driving to Abbey Fields car park in Kenilworth to smoke cannabis.

As well as the £200 fixed penalty notices, they were also given warnings for smoking cannabis last night (Wednesday).

The three men didn't live together and the police said the journey was 'most definitely not essential'.

A police spokesperson said: "I know it’s frustrating and difficult but actions like this risk the virus spreading and we will enforce with fines for blatant breaches such as this."
