Volunteers left devastated after thieves steal a number of gazebos from a voluntary organisation in Southam

Due to the theft, the group says it might not be able to support any more town centre or charity events like the Retro, Carnival, Christmas Lights Switch On, May Day Fete and French Market

A voluntary organisation in Southam has put out an appeal after thieves stole a number of gazebos, a public address system and someheavy-duty cabling from its lockup.

The theft took place in The Grange some time between the afternoon of March 23 and the evening of March 29.

The group, Southam First, is asking people to report anybody who tries to sell any items of this type to them.

The group has said: "Nothing of value is left.

"Sorry folks, but this hard-working voluntary group can no longer support any more town centre or charity events like the Retro, Carnival, Christmas Lights Switch On, May Day Fete, French Market etc etc."

Most of the gazebos have the Southam First name and logo on them.
