A man from Warwick has been arrested after homophobic and sexist calls were made towards police call handlers.

Police said they are investigating reports of a series of abusive calls made to police call handlers.

A 58-year-old man from Warwick has been arrested on suspicion of making malicious communications.

Warwickshire Police said the calls involved homophobic and sexist abuse of the handlers.
