A driver who sped off after a cyclist was hit near Bubbenhall is wanted for police questioning.

Officers also want to track down a veterinary nurse who is understood to have helped at the scene after the collision between a vehicle and a cyclist on Friday morning.

Warwickshire Police was called to the A445 just outside the village just before 8am on June 24 after reports of a crash.

It is understood that the driver of the car failed to stop after the incident, and witnesses are now wanted to help identify them or the vehicle.

A police spokesperson said they also wanted to hear from a veterinary nurse who stopped to help.

She was wearing a red uniform and driving an older silver Vauxhall Astra on the morning.

Anyone with information can contact police on 101.
