Easter fun for all the family at golf club's fundraiser

A total of 125 children took part – with younger ones hunting for eggs in the arboretum in the grounds of the club and older children having to work out clues to secure their eggs.

In addition, Save the Children ran a tombola and offered face painting.

The event raised £320.40 for the charity.

The Easter Bonnet competition attracted lots of interest with the winner of the six-plus category being Louisa Scott (seven) from Leamington, with Emily Armer (seven) in second place. They both had great fun when the Easter Bunny hopped over to say hello.

Brother and sister, Poppy (four) and Arthur Price (two) from Leamington, took second and third place in the five and under category, while the winner was two-year-old Ruby Orton from Kenilworth.

Ann Bailey, secretary of the Leamington, Warwick and Kenilworth branch of Save the Children, which helped organise the event, said: “We would like to extend out heartfelt thanks to the staff and members of The Warwickshire for their generosity and for inviting us to be involved with the Easter Egg Hunt again this year. It is a fun event, enjoyed by many children.”
