It is the site we feared - a cherry picker and wood chipper are at the site of the much-loved Cubbington pear tree this morning (Wednesday September 30).

Anti-HS2 campaigners are now heading to the site.

Machinery has been spotted at the site before on September 18 and a cherry picker was there yesterday (Tuesday).
