The land on the edge and inside parts of the woodland is being cleared to make way for the new high speed rail line (HS2).

As we reported last month, the iconic and much-loved Cubbington pear tree, which sat just on the edge of the woods, was recently felled as part of the HS2 project - news that made headlines across the country.
