A new ‘Maize Maze’ is giving people the chance to explore their way through a cornfield maze while taking part in the Great British Food Hunt at Hilltop Farm in Hunningham.

The specially-designed feature, which forms the shape of a giant sheep, is now open until September 7.

Participants, armed with a maze map and game card, have to find their way through but also collect stamps from stations hidden within the maze that show the ‘food miles’ meat, vegetables and fruit can travel before reaching the table. The farm, which has a shop and cafe specialising in seasonal locally-produced food and drink, is hoping to get people thinking about buying products sourced from closer to where they live.

Entry to the maze, which is open every day from 10am to 6pm, costs £4.50 (£3.50 for children). Wellies are advised as the ground may be wet.

Hilltop Farm is off the Fosse Way in Hunningham. To find out more, call 632978 or visit www.hilltopfarmshop.com
