Family pulls together for New Hut Appeal
Family fundraisers pulled together to get round a marathon - and a bit extra - to pull in funds for Warwick Sea Scouts' new hut.
Siblings from the club, Peter, aged nine, and sister Laura, aged seven, took on a charity challenge with a mini-marathon in Paris where they made it round a course alongside mum, Ruth Tennant who completed the 26-mile run in the city on the same day.
The efforts have already raised almost £570 for their New Hut Appeal and Peter said: “It was very challenging but I enjoyed quite a lot of it.”
Ruth said that as a keen runner, it seemed the ideal way to get the family together and help raise funds.
