Swiss sanitary product supplier Geberit, which has been based at Tournament Fields on the outskirts of Warwick since 2009, recently purchased Staffordshire business Twyford to widen its product offering.

As a result of the acquisition, the Twyford headquarters is relocating to a new state-of-the-art office complex next to Geberit’s current headquarters at Tournament Fields.

Sackville Developments, which owns and develops Tournament Fields, has agreed a deal to create the new 22,500 sq ft, two-storey building which Geberit will lease back.

Paul Shanley, director at Sackville Developments, added: “Geberit’s decision to expand with a building twice the size of its current headquarters shows how well placed and well suited Tournament Fields is for growing businesses of stature.

“We receive regular enquiries from regional and national companies looking to find bases in the Midlands because of its convenient location, and already have other well-known names based here such as Semcon, Eagle Burgmann, Taylor Wimpey and the West Midlands Ambulance Service.”

The new jobs will be across marketing, customer service, finance and technical support areas of the business.

Geberit was assisted in its building expansion by property agents EHB Commercial which worked with Sackville Developments’ property agents Wareing & Company and Savills to agree a lease deal.
