Heartfelt tributes paid to '˜wonderful' dad, Jon

Tributes have been paid to 'wonderful Jon' - a much loved father and friend who died after a tragic skiing accident.

Jon Morgan, who lived in Leamington, died in intensive care on March 24 after suffering a head injury while on holiday in France.

The father-of-one who was in his mid 30s, worked as a senior press officer for Jaguar Land Rover and tributes have since flooded in for a “well loved” and “popular” man. And a fundraiser for a charity close to his heart has raised over £1,300 in his memory.

Paying tribute, his colleagues said: “Jon was extremely physically fit, and he fought bravely against all odds while in hospital.

“Our prayers and deepest condolences are with Jon’s family as they mourn his tragic loss.

“Jon’s legacy will live on through his wonderful daughter Evie, who lives with her mother in London.

“He was a hugely popular man at Jaguar Land Rover, having made the successful transition from journalism to public relations in 2014.

“Jon was a very talented writer and undoubtedly a future star in the automotive industry. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.”

A fundraising page “to remember the wonderful Jon” was set up to bring in funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK - a charity for which Jon ran the Paris Marathon in 2014 in memory of his own father.
