It's full steam ahead for the fundraising Bleasdale sisters

A pair of sisters are setting out on a fundraising mission to raise £5,000 in memory of their beloved grandfather and as a tribute to their mother, a nurse.

Lillie and Victoria Bleasdale are planning a year of charity runs totalling 190km nearly 120 miles.

All funds raising by the sisters will be equally split between Cancer Research UK and the Central England Rehabilitation Unit at Leamington Spa Hospital.

Victoria and Lillie who were born and grew up in the Warwick area, lost their Grandpa to cancer last year.

The sisters said: “We are fundraising for Cancer Research UK in order to ensure that one day, everyone diagnosed with cancer can beat it.

“Both of us have grown up with our amazing Mum working the Central England Rehabilitation Unit.

“She now runs this incredible NHS facility that cares for people suffering from an acquired brain injuries, a stroke or a brain tumour.”

Although self-confessed non-runners the Bleasdale girls have so far signed up to eight runs.
