Warwickshire Police has only just released details of the attack, which too place on Saturday February 27, in hope that witnesses will come forward to help with investigations.

A 25-year-old was on the dance floor of the Warwick Street night club at around 12.45am when he was punched a number of times by a man he did not know.

The victim required hospital treatment and suffered a fractured jaw in the attack.

Officers now want to track down the offender, who is described as being white, in his mid twenties, 5ft 10ins tall, of athletic build and with brown hair and “chiselled features”.

He is also said to have had some stubble, and distinctive tattoos on his arm and neck and was wearing a dark coloured top with short sleeves on the night of the assault.

Anyone with information can contact police on 101.
