Free cream teas, bouncy castles, pony rides and an inflatable obstacle course are among the attractions on offer at a family event in Warwick to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday.
The Party in the Park is being hosted by Churches Together Warwick at St Nicholas Park on Saturday June 11, where there will also be a giant buzzwire and a beer barrel challenge, as well as a host of children’s activities.
There will be free copies of the souvenir booklet, The Servant Queen and the King She Serves, about the life and faith of the Queen, to pick up, while people will also be able to create bunting with their own birthday messages to the Queen at a bunting workshop.
All activities will be free and take place between 11am and 6pm.
Pastor Linz Alexander, chair of Churches Together Warwick, said: “We are delighted to be organizing Party in the Park again this year. It’s a unique opportunity for local churches, schools, businesses, artists and families to come together and celebrate an historic occasion.”
