Highways England Traffic Officers and Warwickshire Police are currently working on scene at both of the incidents.

Due to the seriousness of the incidents the closure is expected to affect the morning peak period. Please allow extra time for your journey if travelling in the area or consider alternative routes.

The road closure is from junction 12 at Gaydon to junction 13 at the A452 Banbury Road for Bishop's Tachbrook.

Road users are advised to follow the solid square symbol diversion route displayed on road signs. Exit the M40 northbound at J12 and then take the B4100 (northbound) and continue to the A452 to then re-join the M40 at J14.

Delays are likely on the approach to the closure, with additional journey times also expected on diversion routes.
