Facemask and hand sanitiser Christmas gift sets sold by Warwick Avon Rotary Club have raised £1,400 for the Myton Hospices.

The sets, which included two specially designed masks and two pocket-size spray bottles of sanitiser, cost £15 of which £10 went to the charity and the rest covered the cost of producing and providing the items.

The costs of the sets were kept low because volunteers from the Warwickshire Sewing Bees and Balsall Common Sewing Circle helped to make the masks and all the raw materials were either donated or discounted.

The contributors included Jenine Parker at JP Graphic Design, Sanhanz, Bludog.co.uk printers, Berry Global, Salvo print and design, Barbara Frogatt, online-fabrics.co.uk, midpac.co.uk, and the Friends of Warwick Avon Rotary club.

The club has said: "At such a difficult time it is so important to keep the funds coming into the charities that work so hard in our community."
