To make his running challenge more of a challenge he decided to complete his running wearing his swimming trunks.

Charles also documented his challenge on his Instagram page.

Speaking about the challenge he said: "It went really well. So much money was raised, loads of people got involved and it raised so much and inspired others to get out and get fit.

"I actually felt very emotional to complete the challenge but I also felt a sense of great achievement.

"There was also an element of sadness, because I received so many positive messages each day so I will certainly miss the engagement from my Instagram."

"The attention I received from my daily stories on Instagram was amazing.

"I tried to post fresh content each day and kept people engaged through humour/funny videos. Also, the messages of support kept me going."

Charles managed to raise more than £5,000 through his efforts.

He said: "To raise £5,062 is just fantastic.

"I obviously couldn’t have done whit without the support from everyone who donated, but also the guys who joined me each day on my runs got me through the 24-day challenge."
