Following the successful re-publication of the first four children’s books in the Fletcher’s Four Seasons series in 2020, Fletcher and the Caterpillar is the first of four brand-new seasonal Fletcher stories by Julia Rawlinson and Tiphanie Beeke.

Julia said the book were inspired by the trees and woods in Warwickshire and are based around 'the many wonders of nature'.

In this spring story, Fletcher finds a caterpillar under a juicy green leaf.

With the help of his friends, he introduces it to lots of games, but all it wants to do is munch. When Caterpillar stops munching, Fletcher is worried, but as spring turns to summer something magical is about to happen.

This story is accompanied by Tiphanie's watercolour illustrations and 'incorporates a number of key teaching points for learning both at home and in school'.

Julia said: "Tiphanie Beeke’s beautiful illustrations couldn’t be more perfect for Fletcher’s stories, and it’s an absolute joy to be working with her on these new seasonal adventures.’

Tiphanie added: "I was over the moon to be given the opportunity of working with Julia Rawlinson again.

"It is a joy to be able to bring Fletcher’s adventures to life in four more wonderful stories which both children and adults can enjoy."
