Man arrested in connection with cyclist assault in Burton Green now bailed

A man who had been arrested on suspicion of assault GBH in connection with an incident in Burton Green has now been bailed.

The incident took place on a disused railway line near to Cromwell Lane at around 10.30pm.

A man is his 40s was cycling along the path when he went past a man who was walking his dog.

The man who was arrested has now been bailed.The man who was arrested has now been bailed.

The man challenged him and there was a verbal dispute before the victim was pushed off his bike and assaulted.

He suffered multiple broken bones and was taken to hospital where he remains at this time.

A 48-year-old man from Kenilworth had been arrested on suspicion of assault GBH. He has been bailed until July 26.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
